ATRI RAYCHOWDHURY

I’m Atri, a creative technologist, entertainment entrepreneur, investor, and genre-less thinker passionate about the nexus of technology, culture, sustainability, and youth empowerment.

I’m a Dartmouth College (MEM - joint Thayer & Tuck program) and BU (Electrical Engineering) graduate. Some of my varied life experiences: at 16 I was a part of a team
researching a cure for ulcerative colitis at Harvard Medical School. In college I co-authored a paper about maximizing self-cleaning solar panel efficiency via electrostatics, and quoted Lil B in my college convocation speech. I started teaching myself how to code while at Dartmouth to reduce my monthly burn rate and being able to manifest my ideas into reality felt like magic. I was a founding member of Sony Music’s Data Strategy group where I launched analytics products that ushered in a new era of data transparency and data driven decision making for both Sony Music artists (Real Time Insights) and employees (Apollo Insights) globally. I also conceived and helped launch STEM programs to empower under-represented youth. I’m honored to be in Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2023.

I believe musicians play an integral role in enriching society - from providing the back-drop for life’s poignant moments, inspiring disruptive change globally, unifying people across boundaries, to literally saving lives - I want to inspire more technologists to leverage their skills to empower artists. In the past I developed Raekwon’s first website, built early SMS campaigns with Jay IDK & Chief Keef, created innovative radio promotional campaigns with DJ Envy & Fetty Wap, spearheaded some of the first-of-its-kind Augmented Reality experiences with Snapchat, Joey Bada$$ and A$AP Ferg, and even quoted in Forbes for being a pioneer in tokenizing music IP (creating ARAYZ token).

Currently I’m building Virtuosus (alongside Munzir), a mixed-reality innovation studio that uses augmented reality, VFX, and CGI to create viral short-form content and immersive experiences for brands at the fraction of the cost of the big studios. Our content generates awareness, new discovery touch-points, UGC, and positive sentiment that help brands build their audience, connect with consumers, and make more money. We’ve worked with forward thinking folks like: G-Eazy, Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Blackbear, Dame Dash, J Balvin, Gunna, Sean Leon, Kanye West, Jus Ske, Lil Gotit, Phunky Fungi, Peach Tree Rascals, Flooz, Daily Paper, Clarks, Juventus, Telfar, Snapchat, and more — generating millions of impressions, and millions in revenue for them.
